Suits are always in fashion! What's exciting to me is the all the different ways one can wear them now.
A very long time ago I worked a 9-5 job, and I had several suits I would wear and mix and match. I was thankful for the job, because it helped pay my bills. It wasn't really my "cup of tea", and I felt imprisoned at times in my little space. I'm a people-person and like the energy you get from being with people. I worked out of a tiny area and felt more like a caged animal. If your job is like this, I have great respect for you, because it was hard on me and sometimes very isolating. That job lasted about a year and a hal, and no, I don't miss it. I did enjoy wearing my suits and seeing how many different ways I could change it up. It was the uniform of the office, and back then, there were no Casual Friday's.
Oh my, how times have changed! Today's #ootd is a nod to my 9-5 days. And it's all about the suit, an old classic mixed with comfort. I've paired this suit with an Adidas sport v-neck tee. It's a casual look that still has a professional vibe. This is what I'm loving, it's more of a sporty ensemble.
I also have added these Michael Kors sneakers, and my feet are praising me for that. I'm still crazy about heels. I like to look taller then I am. Heels will give you that longer silhouette by making you taller and longer. And now-a-days my feet are not nearly as cooperative as they used to be, and I'm trying to be kinder to them. I'm also keeping an eye more on fashion sneakers. There are a lot to choose from in designer sneakers from Gucci, Balenciaga, Golden Goose to more athletic brands such as Converse, Vans, Adidas and Nike (to name a few).
Accessories always will punch up a look, and this includes eye wear. Aren't these cat eye sunnies fun? This isn't my first time wearing this frame style. In the late 60's early 70's these were in, I didn't own a pair, but my best friend Mary did. I loved trying her glasses on, and my glasses at the time were boring tortoise color. As I remember, hers had crystal stones in the corners and were a light peachy color.
It's interesting the see how fashion cycles back around! And how I'll style it the second time around. How about you? So what do you think about wearing the more casual suit?
