Playing the Blues
I’m playing the blues today…. well, actually I’m playing with the way I wear blues. What I really like about dressing these days is there are so many ways to mix texture patterns and color. Today, I started with a denim blouse, which by the way everyone needs either a denim or chambray blouse in their wardrobe. It’s a wonderful piece that can be worn with anything. I then grabbed this animal print sweater. I had forgotten I had this sweater. I purchased it from Gap a couple years ago. I’m a sucker for an animal print, and I really liked that this print wasn’t the classic cheetah colors - black, brown and white, but cobalt blue, gray and black. I’ve worn this sweater with a white blouse and black trousers for more of a classic look, but today I wanted a little more street style. I really wanted to wear jeans but saw these cropped pants and decided I’d add another layer of interest, with this whimsical polka dot print. This also made it very easy to wear my favorite boots from Topshop - the boots with the silver studs on them. Yes, more dots. I also picked up this great CrossBody Bag from Gap, under $50. It comes in a saddle tan color and medium gray tone. The size of this bag is perfect, because it holds my wallet and make up bag. The two most important things you carry in your bag.... as far as I'm concerned!
Life is good! And fashion should always be fun! And if it’s not, you may need to rethink it!
