Military Jacket and Camouflage
Well, the days are shortening up which makes me kinda sad. I don’t like when it starts getting dark around 6pm. There are those days when I don’t feel like I get going until about that time.
I’m happy that football season is in full swing though. We will be heading down the road this Friday to watch the Brookwood Broncos play. We’ve been doing this Friday night ritual for 22 years. When the boys played, we never missed a game, but we’ve relaxed a bit, not going to the away games since we no longer have kids playing.
One of the things I do remember is when each one of the boys were seniors, all the student section dressed up in camouflage. Yes, painted faces, friday night lights, football and camouflage.
All these fun times came flooding back to my mind as I shot this look the other day.
I’ve had these camouflage pants for some time and have worn them through the years. Does camouflage really go out of style? My hunter friends would say no. I kinda have to agree with them, so here’s my take on these pants and what I added to make it mine.
I picked up this rust colored sateen military jacket from Chico’s. I liked the fit and all the button detailing and this mandarin collar. Rust is a big color this season and on trend. I’m looking at more rust colored pieces to add to wear with this.
I’m never one to shy from mixing textures and patterns, so I bought this black floral blouse. I really was excited to see the way this came together with these pants and jacket.
A basic black totes is always a good go-to bag for the fall. I tend to go for the bigger bags, but I like the size of this bag and the silver stud embellishment.
So, I wonder if I’ll see any camouflage this Friday night? I’ll be looking for it at the game, and I hope I see it for old times sake! Have you thought about wearing camouflage this fall?
