Greenville and Check Gingham
A couple of months ago I went to Greenville, SC for the day to take care of some business. It wasn’t a crazy, hectic day, and it’s such a pleasant drive from my home. Greenville is just big enough to offer lots of sites and activities, but it’s small enough to feel cozy and have personality.
I was also fortunate to be able to meet one of my photographers, Olga Mohr, who lives pretty much equidistant from Greenville. She’s a beautiful person inside and out as well as a brilliant photographer. Check her out!
I wore these check gingham pants, Cashmere sweater and blouse and a pair of comfortable shoes. I wasn’t planning on shooting this outfit, but Olga said she really liked it, so she prevailed. I’m so glad she did. I’d had these pieces in my closet for a long time, so this just goes to show you that classics in your wardrobe can be a wonderful asset. Classics plus trend equals a great look!
I’ve listed some pieces below that show off the look I pulled off that day. I have that check gingham print in multiple garments I can pull out of my closet and mix with other different patterns and solids. I’m giving you a few check gingham pieces I have now and have loved wearing.
I added in the swimsuits, because it’s getting warmer outside. If you are planning on vacationing at the beach, then how cute would you look in one of these adorable suits?
My cashmere sweater is a J Crew knit from way back when. It has been worn all year round due to the fact it’s not bulky like a lot of my other knits are. Cashmere is luxurious and feels so good against your skin. These knits are so popular and lightweight - they are sweaters J Crew has in their store each year.
As I look at these pictures, I’m thinking I need to book a little getaway for me and my guy. It would be nice to take a long weekend and head back to Greenville, SC. When life gets stressful, taking a couple days to recharge is always helpful. And a darling city with great places to eat and lots to do sounds just like the place.
