Friends And Fitting Rooms
I'm better late then never. There is still time to grab a girlfriend and shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, you have until August 5th.
A couple weeks ago my dear friend, Beth Djalali (Style At A Certain Age) called and said "lets go shop the Nordstrom sale." She knew I had been dealing with family issues and like any good friend, called to check in on me.
Gosh, aren't you thankful for those friends in your life that swoop in on hard days to drag you off to shop? Well, I was never more grateful to Beth for getting me out that Monday.
When we drove down to Phipps Plaza, it was just the medicine I needed that day. It was a beautiful day out. The sun was shining, and the sky was bright blue with the scattering of a white puffy cloud here and there.
We decided to put together 5 outfits we liked and meet back up in the fitting room to share what we had found. And snap a few shots of our finds and time together!
I've shopped the Nordstrom sale every year for quite sometime. It's a good sale to pick up and replenish your basics as well as shop what will be on trend for fall and winter. The savings are phenomenal, and I know several friends that do a good bit of their Christmas shopping now. I know it sounds crazy to even mention holiday shopping, but we all know it will be here before you know it, so why not think ahead and save?
As you can see above, we put together some casual outfits and also a couple dressy looks. I have such a fun time shopping with my girlfriends. I enjoy seeing how they put the outfits together. Beth, being the classic dresser she is, never disappoints. Her pieces are picked to be in her closet for years to come.
I on the other hand tend to be a little more trendy, which leads me to pick a couple pieces that weren't in the sale, but I had to try on. The USA soft pullover was one such pieces. As I walked by, I grabbed it, and it was so soft, I had to try it on. Yes, I'm the one that touches and feels the clothes as I walk through looking and shopping. Another piece was the black Veronica Beard Blazer with the zip-in gray hoodie dickey. I had never tried this on, because I knew I would want it. Yes, and I was absolutely right! It fits SO nicely and is definitely an investment piece I would love to add to my wardrobe.
I think we did a pretty good job together, and more importantly we had fun! And you still have time to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The sale ends AUGUST 5th. I've linked everything down below and added the boutique pictures to make it easy to find the items you like.
Let me know what you think and if you'd like to see more posts like this.
If you're not following Beth at Style At A Certain Age , you are really missing out, and you need to go check her out. Her style is classic and timeless! I know God brought her into my life, and I'm most grateful. I'm extremely blessed by her wisdom and friendship!
