Easy Does It
Do you like to travel? I sure do, and in the past month I’ve been on the go, enjoying time with my husband as he’s been working. My husband had a convention over in Dusseldorf, Germany three weeks ago. I was fortunate enough to be able to tag along. We spent a week in that beautiful city learning their transit system, seeing the old and new architecture, and eating some delicious food. I’ll have a blog out soon on this trip. I didn’t realize how many pictures I had taken. It’s taken a bit longer than I thought to go through them all, but I promise I’m going to get it done - you have my word!
We got back from Germany, and then a week and a half later we had a long weekend trip planned to go to Blowing Rock, North Carolina to visit my husband’s Uncle and his wife.
In the last month I feel like I’ve been living out of a suitcase.
Finding clothes that look good and that pack well is a huge deal with me. I don’t want to worry about having to iron anything once I get where I’m going. I’d rather be spending my time enjoying the sights, family and friends.
Today #ootd is one of those easy outfits that doesn’t require any fuss! It looks great right out of the suitcase. It also feels luxurious on and really feels more like athleisure wear, while looking fashion forward. This outfit also works well during the holiday with this lovely merlot color.
I decided to go with a monochromatic look. (The same color, but in different textures.) Monochromatic works for all body types. And it’s easy to personalize this look and change it up by simply what you choose to wear with it as far as accessories go.
The faux suede leggings are heavy enough to be warm but not hot. I know I have several faux leather pairs of pants, and I only wear them when it gets really cold outside. I really enjoy this legging type pant, because they bend and give as you move. They are so comfortable. The faux suede leggings are so easy to wear casual with a button up blouse, blazer and flats or a graphic tee, denim jacket and leather sneaker.
The sweater is made of cashmere, and it’s so soft. It’s also such a nice lightweight sweater. One of the wonderful things about cashmere is the warmth ratio versus the thickness of the sweater. This sweater is so thin, yet so cozy to wear and not bulky under your coat or jacket.
The jacket is also made of faux suede and packs well too. It worked going from casual to dressy in a flash.
Travel is too much fun to mess up with clothes that aren’t easy to put on and go!
