Easing into Autumn
Easing into autumn can sometimes be challenging when the weather doesn't seem to be cooperating with you. Here in Georgia the weather's been unusually warm, but I can tell there's hint of fall/autumn in the air. The mornings are just a little bit cooler, even though the afternoons are still in the low 90’s. But I see a reprieve not too far in the future….cooler weather will eventually be here. So what do you wear in the interim? This can be challenging when you're tired of summer clothes, and you’re ready to pull out your fall wardrobe.
A great way to start is to Google the colors that will be big this fall season. These colors are what were shown back in February in New York during “Fashion Week”. Looking at these colors will also be helpful to you as you look through your wardrobe to see what will transition into this fall.
When I’m out shopping, I have an idea of what will merge well with what I have and will work for the warmer weather we are still having. So here’s my take on the challenge! I found this cute tank on sale at Urban Outfitters. I love how the color transitions from the peach to this lovely rich rust color. The denim is a "Matchstick" fit from J Crew in a darker wash rolled-up. And the shoes are a sling-back booties by Dolce Vita. And of course I can't forget this lovely bag from Will Leather Goods in this beautiful shade of olive.
How are you handling this warmer weather as we move into fall? And are you like me, dying to wear your boots and lightweight sweaters, scarves and few layers?
