I'm heading out of town tomorrow for a little R&R at the beach. It's been such a long time since we have gotten away. I'm already day dreaming about sleeping late, relaxing, reading, bike riding and walking on the beach. I can't tell you when the last time was that I had an open schedule. I'm such a planner, but I'm really working on trying to go with the flow.
I'm also going to try and pack simple. I know once my sweet hubs sees this, he will chuckle, and under his breathe be saying "I can't wait to see her pull this one off." I'm not known for being a simple packer, but hey there is always a first time for everything.
Today #ootd is just that kind of simple and effortless style I'm planning on taking to the beach.
This wide leg cropped denim is easy to wear and comfortable with this oversized leg. Wide leg cropped pants were in for summer and a relative the "wide leg trouser" will be on trend for the fall and winter. These cropped denim look great with these slides I have on and will transition over to brogues, boots and or booties come fall. Add a tailored blouse, blazer or long cardigan for a more classic look.
This striped tee I picked up at Zara a while ago. I really was drawn to the colors that were in the tee, with the mustard, darker aqua, black, camel, cream and burnt orange. It wasn't your classic striped tee and had a little more pizazz! I've given you a couple of tees down below that are not your average striped tee to choose from.
A quick easy pair of slides to slide into, and I'm on my way.
I grabbed this vintage tote from Dooney & Burke that has been a wonderful bag. It's nice and big, and I love the embossed leather. I kept it, because I really like the color too. And the fact that I can basically carry the kitchen sink in here. It's such a roomy bag.
My jewelry has been minimal lately. To be honest I've been on the go with everything in life that the necklaces I'm wearing are ones I can put on and leave on. I sleep in them. I'm sure a lot of you will think that's funny, but thats me. It would take me an hour to get it all off. Does anybody else out there sleep in their jewelry? Just curious!
