Connect The Dots
January has brought lots of excitement. Who doesn’t get giddy thinking about the start of a new year? It’s 2019, and so much has happened in such a short amount of time. I’ve welcomed a new grandchild, a little boy on January 8th, Wilder Kris. I had forgotten how tiny newborns are, but I hadn’t forgotten how cuddly they are.
My husband started a new job, and he’s doing what he loves, helping companies find glass to import from all over the world.
I get to work from home and spend time with my kids, grandkids and lots of friends. Can you see the theme here? We’re always busy and on the go. I’m finding more and more that I’m gravitating toward what is easy to slip into and move around in on the days I’m watching the grandkids or off to take care of clients.
How cute is this polka dot jacket from Chico’s Zenergy Collection? All I added were these pants, zip-up top and soft scarf from the collection. Talk about comfortable, yet chic! This is fast becoming my go-to collection with stretch knits and wrinkle free fabric. What’s also great is after I’m done for the day with all the kiddos and clients, I can get my walking in and never miss a beat, because it can all be done still wearing this same outfit.
The day we shot this the weather was in the thirties, so I grabbed this beanie. It’s amazing to me how much heat you lose from your head when you don’t wear a hat. I stayed toasty warm, even with the wind blowing. I probably should have grabbed some gloves. My hands were a bit cold, but after I started moving, they warmed up fast.
Having a pair of comfortable shoes is a must-have when you are traipsing through the city streets of Atlanta. These chunky trainers from Nike worked out great and allow me to move quickly to get the pictures taken and get back to the car in a flash. And out of the cold.
Then I was off to the next thing on my to-do list. Now that’s learning to connect all the dots!
