Come Rain or Shine
What do you like to do for fun? I like exploring parts of the city I live in, Atlanta has many distinct areas which are exciting to check out. I think the draw for me is I enjoy walking and looking for these little hidden nuggets that are part this big bustling capital of the state of Georgia. I had always told myself for years I was not a city girl, too much traffic, too many noise. No one had a yard, you walked your dog, and then you had to clean up after it. I thought that when we retired, we would move out to the country where it's nice and quiet, and your dog could do whatever wherever, and there definitely wasn't any cleaning up behind them. Well, I'm here to tell you that's not the case. I've figured out I like the convenience of having everything I need being close to me. And I'm thankful I figured all this out now instead of later.
I'm all about the busyness of the city, all the sounds and smells. I think I've mentioned that my husband and I love to try out new restaurants. While out on many of my explorations downtown, I've found these wonderful new eateries.
One exploration essential I own is a trench coat, which allows me to roam the city in any type of weather. A trench coat makes any weather comfortable and keeps you stylish. It's a great alternative coat between seasons.
I tend to gravitate toward Khaki this time of year. I guess all the years of working retail still influences my wardrobe to this day. Khaki was always part of what we would term as "transition" taking you from one season to the next. The first trench coat I ever owned was from London Fog. I still have it to this day. That was about 25 years ago, and I paid $200 for the coat. It has a zip out wool lining, and I actually wore it while I was in NewYork last month.
Classic never goes out of fashion!
This trench coat I'm wearing today is from a couple year ago. I decided my umbrella would be my color for today as the weather has been on again off again dreary and rainy. I wore this simple, but oh so soft cashmere sweater, a pair of denim by Frame, and these easy mules.
The rain didn't last too long which was wonderful. And the day started to warm up! Crazy Spring weather!
