On my site I share affordable fashion for the mature woman. I want other people to share in the excitement of being the best version of themselves at any age.

Charming Old Town

Charming Old Town

I chose the green door, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The weather was warm the day we headed out to the little town of Lilburn, Georgia. It has been several years since I have walked around this little town. It’s grown, but the main street is still charming though……. cute restaurants, antique store, fresh produce market, and little shops. This town reminds me of what Mayberry was like from the Andy Griffith Show. And if you don’t know what the Andy Griffith Show is, here’s a clip.

Where else would you find a green door on one end of a building and this amazing mural on the side? This is all on the Cofer Electric building in Old Town Lilburn. This incredible mural was commissioned to be painted by local artist, Sonny Franks in 2012 by Lilburn City council. This mural won first place in 2014 in the International Sign Contest under the category of  “Murals and Banners.” Isn’t it beautiful? And it just happens to match my outfit! This outfit is a culmination from American Threads, Gap, COS, Old Navy, and Sylca Design. This is a combination of old and new and also an example of buying staple pieces and mixing them with new trendier pieces. I’ve had these chinos for a while, as well as my suede bag. I would consider them vintage, although there are similar styles in the marketplace. Classic never goes out of style! The rest of the outfit is fairly new. These wedges are the most recent addition from COS.
