Now that the 4th of July has come and gone, I can start dreaming of the beach. We try to get away to the beach at least once a year. We have fallen for a lovely area off of 30A in the Rosemary/Seacrest/Aly’s Beach, FL area. We attended a wedding there 6 years ago and realized it was one of the prettiest beach areas we had been to. Quiet and quaint, this area has become our place to go to rest, relax and rejuvenate. I’m hoping we can go at the end of summer or the beginning of fall, when all the younger kids are heading back to school, and the crowds have all gone home. I’m also hoping for cooler temperatures, since it’s been so hot here in Atlanta this summer.
So the closest I can get to the water right now is much closer to home. This great spot is in Downtown Atlanta, and the roaring water reminds me of the surf I can’t wait to get back to.
This Maxi dress will be accompanying me to the beach too. This dress with black and cream print is a great weight and can be worn with heels or wedges. I know a lot of women would shy away from this dress due to the cut-out back and plunging neckline, but it fit me so well I couldn’t pass it up. I also like a challenge too! I decided to go with this lace racer-back bralette underneath it, so there was less of me to see. Growing up, you never wanted any undergarments to show. Well that’s not the case in today’s fashion. There are so many styles out in lace cami's and barrettes….. not to mention they are very comfortable. I’m also happy to let you know this particular bralette is on sale too. I paired it with nude sandals and a crocheted and leather necklace, rose gold earrings & watch.
