When you’re unsure of what to wear, you can never go wrong with the classic….black and white. Always one of my favorites, black and white can been worn casual or dressy. One of the simplest ways I like to wear it is a white v-neck tee and black denim and either a colored or nude pumps.
This Nanette Lepore dress was one of my dresses for a Christmas Party last month. I loved it so much I wanted to feature it in one of my blog posts. So here you go!
I found it in a part of downtown Atlanta on one of my many excursions. So I felt it most fitting to wear it alongside some crazy graffiti that runs along the beltline in the downtown area. The dress is a style I wouldn’t ordinarily wear, more of the prim, conservative look. So I paired it with the bomber leather jacket, tights and boots to give it more of an edgy flare, along with a vintage clutch from the 1940's!
Then I decided I wanted the backdrop around me to be the polar opposite of what I saw the dress to be! This beautiful, but wild and crazy graffiti that’s painted on the bridge supports on one of Atlanta’s busy roads, Freedom Parkway. I wish I knew whose amazing artwork this is!
Did I tell you this dress was such a steal? Found at TJ Maxx Midtown, the original price was $250 - I picked it up for $34 with not a mark on it! When I find items like this, it’s so worth all the times I’ve gone in to find nothing, or been out looking for a specific thing and come up empty handed. When I’m not looking is when I stumble on the best deals.
Speaking of graffiti, today’s clip is also a classic, Harrison Ford in George Lucas’s famous film, American Graffiti!
